FENDI

Founded in 1925, the luxury fashion brand Fendi began as a small fur and leather shop in Rome and has grown into a globally recognized label known for their apparel, leather goods, furs, fragrances, and accessories. It wasn’t until the fashion icon Karl Lagerfield became the creative director in 1965 that the brand began to cement its identity with Lagerfield designing their signature squared double F logo in 1966. A decade later, they released their first ready-to-wear collection. Fendi opened their first US store in New York City on 5th Avenue in 1989 and was an instant hit with socialites and celebrities. Their designs are still a favorite among celebrities including Catherine Zeta Jones, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Sophia Loren, Diana Ross, and Naomi Campbell. The brand has also designed clothing for films such as The Royal Tenenbaums, Evita, and Once Upon A Time in America.

Fendi is committed to honoring its Italian roots and has donated significant funds to restoration projections around Italy. In 2013, they sponsored the clean-up of Quattro Fontane fountains and funded the restoration of the Trevi Fountain. They financed the restoration of the Temple of Venus and Roma in 2019 where they held their couture show, and the restoration was completed in 2021.
